Warranty Policy
Every HUUMI product is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use.
This warranty sits in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory consumer rights — including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, the EU 2-year legal guarantee, the UK Consumer Rights Act, or any other applicable local law.
EU customers — 2-year legal guarantee
If you're purchasing from within the European Union, EU law provides you with a statutory 2-year legal guarantee against goods that are faulty or don't conform to their description at the time of delivery. This right is separate from, and runs alongside, our 12-month commercial warranty. During the 2-year period, if a fault appears, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a refund depending on the circumstances.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects
- Components that fail or malfunction under normal, intended use (for example, a diffuser unit that stops misting through no fault of your own)
What's not covered
- Accidental damage, drops, or liquid damage beyond normal use
- Damage from misuse, neglect, or not following the product instructions (for example, running the unit dry, overfilling past the max line, or using oils/additives the product isn't designed for)
- Normal wear and tear, or cosmetic marks that don't affect function
- Damage from unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Mineral build-up from hard water where the unit hasn't been cleaned as instructed
These exclusions never override your statutory consumer rights — if an item has a genuine manufacturing fault, you're covered regardless of what this section says.
How to make a warranty claim
Email support@huumi.com.au with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- A description of the problem
- Photos or a short video showing the issue
We'll assess your claim and, where it's covered, arrange a repair, replacement, or refund. We'll cover return postage for all valid warranty and faulty-item claims.
Caring for your Huumi product
To keep your warranty valid and your device performing at its best, please follow the cleaning and care instructions included with your product — particularly using clean water and recommended oils, and descaling regularly if you're in a hard-water area.
